If Americans want to live in Bedford Falls, why did they elect Mr. Potter, who promises misery, bigotry, and theft?

Most of us live in Bedford Falls, where our lives are filled with hard working and goodhearted people. We’re friendly and affable and we look out for others. Immigrants like Mr. Martini have opportunities to work hard and join our community. The elderly, the poor, and those down on their luck get help to make their lives better.

When people are afraid and the economy crashes — when there’s a run on the bank and the savings and loan, we don’t exploit fears, we seek to calm the situation, and do what’s best for everyone. We sing songs and wish each other Merry Christmas.

In Bedford Falls, U.S.A, we’re all in this together., But not everyone is happy in Bedford Falls., An angry, bitter billionaire is alone on Christmas Eve.

The culmination of a lifetime devoted to greed and selfishness, he has no reason to be angry and yet anger is all he has. Mr. Potter exploits and looks down on regular, working people.

were ready to run to Potter during the run on the bank: they were desperate to get anything vs. losing it all.

Remember how swayed the crowds initially were when one man ran into the Savings & Loan, announcing that Potter was paying 10 cents on the dollar? If George Bailey hadn't jumped in and offered them their money at 100% with his own assets, they would have gone to Potter.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris couldn't compete with Trump/Potter's fearmongering. They were sincere but couldn't overcome the fear that Trump created.
