WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — Robert Duvall, the Oscar-winning actor whose career across seven decades included memorable roles in "Tender Mercies," "The Godfather" and "Apocalypse Now," has died. He was 95 years old.

The death was confirmed by Duvall's wife, Luciana, on the actor's Facebook page. She said Robert passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by love and comfort.

The category name was a huge help. I was quite surprised no one got it, since it's the Tournament of Champions. The two men were ahead with similar scores and they both bet it all, and the woman who was trailing in third didn't bet anything.

My mom (who died in 2022) and I both loved Jeopardy.
It didn’t air here at all time that i could watch it, so she would call me and sometimes didn’t even say “hi” before launching into the Final Jeopardy category. I loved that.

was his role in the Twilight Zone episode, "Miniature." His character was one everybody could identify with, a person who never could fit in with everybody else but found comfort in escaping to a library dollhouse. Great episode. Duvall should have won an Emmy for it.

I remember several things he spoke about. Remarkable man and actor.

When I first saw that movie, it was named "The Ace".
They tested 3 different titles & The Ace stuck.
It was after the movie became big on cable premium channels & created a buzz, it was renamed prior to a second theatrical release.
So, I knew "The Ace" and it took a bit to realize Santini was the same movie!
