(11,611 posts)in preparing for the impeachment attempt during Trump's first term, a lawyer for the prosecution drew up 30+ grounds for impeachment including the Emoluments Clause, which was perhaps the strongest one; but the Dems chose to use only the weakest ground, because too many Dems had also received emoluments, etc.
The Constitution is on its last legs; but I'm hoping for a revival!
