Patel posts Van Hollen campaign's $7,000 bar tab after barbed Senate testimony

FBI Director Kash Patel posted a Federal Election Commission form showing Sen. Chris Van Hollen's (D-MD) Senate campaign spent over $7,000 at a Washington, D.C., bar following a stormy budget hearing on Tuesday.

The Maryland Democrat was asking Patel whether he knew lying to Congress was a crime, to which the FBI director denied doing so and added, "Maybe the next time you run up a $7,000 bar tab, we can talk about it." Van Hollen countered that public money wasn't used, contrary to what he said Patel had claimed.

Patel later posted a photo of the FEC file, which showed Van Hollen's Senate campaign spent over $7,128 at the Lobby Bar in Washington, D.C. Van Hollen said during the hearing Tuesday that it was for a "50-member staff party."

Van Hollen had pressed Patel during the hearing over allegations involving excessive drinking and claims that FBI personnel had difficulty reaching him.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) shared the results of a test to assess alcohol disorders after FBI Director Kash Patel told the lawmaker he would also submit to the test if he and the senator did them “side by side.”
Democrats have called on Patel to take the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) in the wake of reporting from The Atlantic claiming the director was drinking excessively and at times was difficult to reach.

Let's do this right...

RANDOM, unscheduled blood / alcohol / breathalyzer testing by a verified, certified, nonpartisan, independent laboratory...

Send teams simultaneously, one for the FBI Director + one for the Senator, to perform the collections...

Video the entire process...

Certify the chain of specimen evidence so there is no subbing of blood / urine / breath specimens...

Post results for all the world to see...

Americans deserve the truth...

I attended an off site luncheon at a nice California winery. This was the entire Advanced Technology division for a major tech company. All 220 of us were there, flown in from all over the planet for a week long mission planning session. First time we have all met in person in 10 years. I can't imagine what the bar / food tab was for the event, but I imagine it ran close to $200 / person or over $40,000. BTW this also made sure that dozens of staff at the winery got a nice payday, as well as the charter bus drivers, etc. I don't ever expect to attend another such event since I will likely retire before another 5 years passes, so it was great to put faces with names / voices that I meet with virtually.

Also, the Senators $7000 bar tab for a 50 person party was NOT paid for by tax payers, it was paid out of his campaign funds ( donors ).

Ka$h can just go fuck himself.

How much for most everything and anything this admin has wasted a shit ton of money on?

Even though i don't approve of ANY rep wasting our tax payer's dollars, this is a drop in the tip bucket for 1 trip to a golf course for President Butter Chunks.

Looks like Patel is weaponizng his role as FBI Director
