It truly bothers him. He has adopted the posture that it doesn't, but his lashing out proves otherwise.

from consciously acknowledging that he is not universally adored. The personality disorder of narcissism is a defense mechanism that protects the ego of a deeply insecure person. If there is any scrap of self-awareness in Trump's subconscious mind that recognizes that he is actually very unpopular, his narcissism steps in and defends that ego, which is why his behavior is so extreme when he's criticized.

Keep so much from him. It's to the point we have no fuxking clue what he actually knows. The guy spends hours a day on the self reach around which is his social media app and watching FOX.

He lives in a world of lies and it's impossible in that world to know what is a lie and what is the truth.

Everything. Every horror the felon visits on our once great nation is a reaction to his humiliation and rejection by the NY/DC "elite." I posted this before, but will repeat here:

The felon is a psychopathic malignant narcissist whose pitiful, desperate need for acceptance drove him to go to any lengths to amass the wealth and power he believed would gain him a place in the highest circles of NY/DC society.

Even at the highest levels of society, that corridor is a melting pot that values pluralism and is a curious blend of progressive social values, internationalism, and high-stakes economic competition.

And he was desperate to be embraced in that world.

And he never was.

He was humiliated and rejected.

However much money he amassed, however often he managed insinuate himself into the the upper circles of Northeast Megalopolis society (from Boston to DC with NYC at it's center) he was always viewed with contempt as the vulgar, ill-mannered, grasping troll that he is.

He may have convinced himself he was a player, but he knew the truth. He was an object of contempt.

His most beloved symbols of success were mocked as tacky and gouache. The attitude toward him in upper circles was reflected in the media. Newsweek highlighted his fall (Trump: The Fall). Quotes like "You live by the glitz, you die by the glitz," from people he claimed as "friends" capture how he was viewed. Vanity Fair described his "moral larceny" and reputation for slinging bullshit. Spy Magazine was relentless, and decades later, Spy founders continued to torment him.

Having his most desperate need met by rejection and contempt inflicted an intolerable wound to his eggshell ego. And now, everything -- absolutely everything he does -- is driven by the need to exact vengeance for that wound.

To "get back" at "them" -- the ones that inflicted the wound -- he attacks their pluralism, their progressive values, their internationalism. He "shows them" by amassing even more wealth and power in the process.

He seeks to destroy and corrupt executive agencies that advance the rule-of-law and progressive social values. He advances the interests of the illiberal democracies and autocrats that are hellbent on destroying the rules-based international order forged more than 75 years ago. He rejects the transatlantic alliances that are held dear, not just by "the elite," but by all of us who believe in the idea of "The Good Will of the American People" as a powerful force committed to advancing human rights, human dignity, and self-determination across this planet.

It is ALL the petty vengeance of a psychopathic, narcissistic troll against his perception of the values held by the "movers and shakers" that rejected him.

"When the defenses against reality collapse for a person with the dual diagnosis Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Anti-Social Personality Disorder, what can happen?"

The answer below, but a couple comments first.

The rejection by NY/DC was bad, but it was Obama's roast that was the blow that sent him over the edge to "proof them all wrong."

Winning the presidency kept reality at bay for awhile, but no more. He may still be kidding himself that he'll get his approval numbers back up. Of course, he is wrong.

And Obama has loomed large again as he confronts the reality that the ONLY way out of Iran is to recommit to "Obama's treaty" (that he shredded) and hand the Iranians 10X the money obama did. A humiliating loss of gigantic proportions.

Of course, there is no "bouncing back" from him. There is no way out because he is INCAPABLE of making the humiliating deal.

Things could get very, very, scary.

Apply whatever level of skepticism you apply to all AI, but here's the response. (Seems we've seen a lot of this already so, as many have observed, he's apparently been decompensating for a while.)

When defenses collapse in an individual with both Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD)—a combination sometimes associated with malignant narcissism or psychopathy—they lose their ability to manage their self-image and manipulate others. This psychological decompensation typically triggers extreme, volatile, and dangerous outcomes.

1. Severe Psychotic or Delusional Episodes
When their grandiosity completely fails to protect them from reality, the ego may fracture. This can lead to brief reactive psychoses or deep paranoid delusions where they externalize all blame, viewing themselves as the ultimate victim of a "persecutory" world.

2. Malignant Aggression and Retaliation
Individuals with this dual diagnosis often react to wounded pride or exposure with intense rage. Without their usual behavioral filters and manipulative facades, this can escalate into severe physical violence, stalking, harassment, or calculated attempts to ruin the lives of those they hold responsible.

3. Complete Loss of Empathy and Behavioral Restraint
The ASPD traits (lack of remorse, disregard for others) are normally kept somewhat in check by the NPD need for admiration and social status. When defenses collapse, the need for approval disappears, leaving behind a highly impulsive, predatory individual who acts purely on instinct without any moral or social constraints

4. Extreme Self-Destructive Behaviors
If they can no longer maintain their grandiose narrative or control their environment, they may turn their aggression inward. This can manifest as severe substance abuse, high-risk reckless behavior (gambling, dangerous stunts), or acute suicidal crises driven by narcissistic mortification.

5. Ultimate Social Isolation
Because their primary coping mechanism is to exploit and manipulate others, the collapse of these defenses usually results in them burning every bridge. They may alienate family, friends, and colleagues, leading to total social abandonment and destitution.

He may still be kidding himself that he can manipulate things and "bounce back" in approval. (As soon as the Iran war, is over, as soon as my picks are declared winners in the midterms -- by whatever means necessary.... on and on.)

The thing is, the war will never be over as long as he is in the WH because he is incapable of making the humiliating deal that hands gold bars to Iran and declares Obama's treat to be the absolute "best deal" anyone could have made.

Trump is well aware of the hatred. That is why he reframes it as anyone who hates him is mentally ill. Trump uses normal people's hatred of him to motivate and activate MAGAs.

I picture his mother telling him from an early age "don't worry, Donnie, that the kids don't like you because they're just jealous of all that you have, that you're so smart, so handsome"....yada yada yada. I think he truly believes that he's good looking, that he's smart, and that he and only he can do certain things.

He's never learned how to develop interpersonal relationships. Any interaction that he has with ANY other human is because he wants something from that person or wants to dominate that person, and when they have nothing left that he wants/needs, he discards them.

I have no doubt that all that has been reported about him in the Epstein files is true and more. I can totally picture him watching someone die without an ounce of compassion or understanding. In his world, it is ALL about him.

He's a pompous ass, and one of these days he's going to get what's coming to him. I hope I'll be there to see it happen because I would enjoy that.
