https://c.im/@CNN/116823062117387236Anderson Cooper has made it clear how he feels about working with Bari Weiss.
The star anchor, 59, has told colleagues at CNN that he does not want to work for the beleaguered CBS News chief, two sources told The New York Times. His comments came amid reports that Weiss is being considered for a top role at the network, which is slated to soon come under the control of Trump-friendly CEO David Ellison.
Representatives for CBS News and CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
........
Cooper concluded his two decades at CBS flagship broadcast, 60 Minutes, just months after Weiss was installed at the helm of the network.
He wasnt comfortable with the direction the show was taking under Bari, and is in a position where he doesnt have to put up with it, an insider told Status in February.

(308 posts)7. I actually strongly prefer the MSNow hosts over AC
So I seldom view his newscasts.

If Anderson and others depart CNN, and Bari Weiss takes control, I quit and I don't get any more US news.

With everything hes ever broadcast, but I do remember him in tough situations. I think Hurricane Katrina comes to mind. Hes a real journalist and I respect him and its great that Hes speaking out. Also thought it was pretty cool that he did not accept Vanderbilt inheritance.

Or so I thought but being the son of Gloria Vanderbilt was less lucrative than I thought.
Although I'm sure Anderson has done okay and would easily find a new gig if need be..
Anderson Cooper inherited $1.5 million from his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, following her death in 2019.
Michael B. Cohen & Associates
While initial speculation suggested Vanderbilt's estate was worth upward of $200 million, court filings revealed the actual value was closer to $1.5 million, which was left almost entirely to Cooper.
Los Angeles Times
Cooperwho has built his own successful career and fortunehas publicly stated that he believes inheriting massive sums is a "curse" and an "initiative sucker". He even applies this philosophy to his own children, noting on Page Six that he does not plan to leave a large trust fund for his son.
