its time for beshear to announce a special election to replace mcconnell

if he's still alive all they have to do is show proof of life. otherwise assume the seat is vacant. since so many rethugs claim to have talked to him proof of live should be easy.

but we know hes dead....

Democrats aren't winning a special election. They are much better off with the seat remaining vacant until January.

1)it will serve as proof that the idiots who claimed they talked to him were lying
2) the GOP will rip itself apart when massie announces he's running.

He couldnt even win his district, he ain't winning a statewide election. Why would he even run for a position that would last only a couple months? NOT going to happen.

Apart from Beshear being sued the moment he did it, the republicans in the Senate would simply refuse to seat Beshear's appointee unless it was a MAGA republican. They'd argue that the seat isn't vacant and that the burden is on Beshear to prove otherwise -- which he can't.
