Nearly a Million Investors Lost a Total of $3.8 Billion on Trump Crypto Coin
Source: New York Times
Nearly 1 million people who bought President Trumps memecoin have lost money through the end of June, according to a report by the cryptocurrency analytics firm Nansen. Their losses total $3.81 billion.
The analytics firms assessment was calculated this week after Mr. Trump signed an annual financial disclosure showing that he walked away with a $636 million payout on the same crypto bet, part of a haul of at least $2.2 billion from all of his business ventures in 2025.
The odds were always in his favor. Mr. Trump profited whether the price of his memecoin went up or down. He collected returns whenever anyone traded the tokens, as he repeatedly pushed his followers to do, using his Truth Social account to promote the coin. . .
Cumulatively, these 988,905 wallets have lost a total of $3.81 billion, including buyers who have held on to their stash and recorded paper losses, according to Nansen. The coin was trading at $1.76 as of Friday, down 97 percent from its peak price of $75.35.

Forever a grifter.

(20,141 posts)I acknowledge they have experienced a loss. I acknowledge they may experience adverse material consequences of the change to their financial circumstances.
I am just completely unmoved. I've been tired out into indifference.
The course of events was not only predictable, it was predicted. All over the place. For everyone to see and hear.
And these grown-ass adults insisted on touching the hot stove, again, while yelling at the rest of us to fuck off. Okay. Bye.

the Judge dropped the case and asked the guy what kind of stupid was he? If you invested in
something to do with Trump who has been a thief and a con man for 60 + years then expect to
lose your money. Just like picking a fight with one the strongest men in the NBA you will lose.

Brother asked if I had power of attorney.
Daughter called just before midnight when she read the email.
... Was worried I would really do it.
... Could not admit Trump was a crook/dishonest.
... Said Trump did not need her money with all his "millions".
Son - no reply - knew I would never do such a stupid thing.

GF's investments are not doing that well. I'm going to have her cash out all of her stocks, money market accounts, and other investments. Her house has a huge amount of equity for a home loan.
Put the money into a sure thing, a golden opportunity, all from a known, successful businessman, Donald J Trump.
It is wise to diversify, so half will go to his stock, DJT, and half to his crypto currency. The stock is down slightly so it is a good opportunity before he brings it back up with his business acumen.
His crypto currency will be partially managed/advised by his three capable sons... Looking forward to great returns from a brilliant businessman with no risk of downside.
It's no wonder people have such great faith in him.

I can quite honestly say it was a family's name that begins with the letter "T" and has a "rump" after said "T."
See if you can guess. 😁
