'I'm Trained to Know When Someone is Dying. The White House Needs You to Believe Trump Isn't"
"Being a paramedic sucks."
"The hours suck. The pay is insulting. We get no respect. We are treated like ambulance drivers and expected to just do as we are told. We arent treated like medical professionals despite the years of training we have."
"Did you know as a paramedic I can show up, start an IV, intubate (Put a breathing tube down your throat), give you a massive number of different medications, interpret an ECG (Which aside from doctors, no one else can do) all while moving at 60 mph?"
"When it comes to the things I am able to do, the list is actually insane. Here is a skill that I can do that will shock you. I am trained and capable of taking a scalpel to your neck, cutting it open, and putting in a breathing tube."

(3,214 posts)I watched more of one episode. I found that while emergency had about 15 minutes of an emergency mixed with 3 minutes of firehouse or other filler, 911 was almost the exact opposite with 3 minutes of an emergency and 15 minutes of filler and drama. In my opinion, score a big win for Rescue 51,

(17,839 posts)Discussed this on another thread yesterday. With past video of him that can be manipulated, with AI, and with someone posting on social media acting like it's him, they will definitely be able to keep a secret for a period of time. His followers will be easily fooled.
The rest of us know to watch for this type of thing. We all know that SOMETHING was up over these last few days when he was MIA for that time period. When people started questioning, they paraded him out for a few minutes to quell the suspicions. There will come a time when he won't be able to be paraded, especially for any length of time.
They are very obviously propping him up with medical care. He's still human and that won't work forever.

(23,280 posts)...when a video came out showing Bin Laden, and it turned out to be a fake? Even then, there was debate on whether it was fake or not.
And that was 20 years ago.

(22,974 posts)Early on, he acknowledges the fact that, despite his extensive training and experience, he can't give a formal diagnosis of Trump: "It comes down to one single thing I cant do. I cannot diagnose. I can know what is wrong. I can treat what is wrong. I can even fix what is wrong. I just cannot officially tell you what is wrong."
Later, he says this:
That is how I would take care of him after my partner convinced me that driving the ambulance off a cliff with him in it wouldnt make the world a better place. Hed be wrong, but Im not about to mix ashes with that fascist.
Lets take a look at what Adolf Shitler is presenting like and figure out exactly how to treat the suspected condition.
He then proceeds to describe the things going on with Schlump that he's seeing with his own eyes (just like the rest of us) and what those things mean to a highly trained health care professional.
I highly recommend reading the article. It's highly informative and amusing, and it'sa gift link, so it doesn't cost anything to read it.
He starts out by describing the things he is trained to do, then says, "It comes down to one single thing I cant do. I cannot diagnose. I can know what is wrong. I can treat what is wrong. I can even fix what is wrong. I just cannot officially tell you what is wrong."

As someone who has been following Schlump's decline pretty closely, I learned a lot from this article. It confirmed a lot of my personal suspicions and also greatly added to my understanding of what I've been seeing. I highly recommend reading it. It's highly informative, it's a fast read, and it's a gift link, so it doesn't cost anything to read it.

(22,974 posts)I don't think that's something a paramedic can do. They're trained to observe and treat but not to prognosticate, beyond estimating how close to death's door a patient they're transporting is.
Providing a prognosis is in the purview of Trump's doctors and would require access to things like test results. I have no doubt his docs have a pretty good idea of how much time he has left, but they're not going to tell us peons!
hamsterjill
(17,839 posts)Is doing more than usual by giving his observations. Going out on a limb if you will.
So I was hoping he would have dropped a hint as to a time frame. I realize they cant diagnose, but basically did in the article so I was simply hoping for their educated guess. It would be more accurate, I would imagine, than mine or yours.

(22,974 posts)I wonder if he felt like he didn't have enough information to feel confident making one. I would love to know his thoughts even so.

(14,121 posts)If so, that bomb can't go off soon enough.
Never thought I'd be someone who so desperately wished death on another human being, but here I am.
...
Understand when I go to a call, I have to figure out what the problem is. I dont have lab work. I dont have X-rays and CT scanners. The most advanced tech I have is an ECG and a glucometer. Otherwise, its just left to me working this shit out like Im Batman hunting down the Joker.
...
Except that doesnt explain why he has been getting a CT scan EVERY three months. A significant number of medical professionals are dead set that they are worried about his mental decline, and they are trying to make sure he still has all neurologic functions.
...
I think that there is something more dangerous that his medical team is monitoring and tracking. I think that what they are monitoring closely isnt his mental health. It is the time bomb in his belly. An abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is what happens when the Aorta (Main blood delivery system to the heart) starts to get a bulge in it. The side wall of the Aorta starts to push outward. It is a serious life-threatening condition.
If a AAA ruptures, which they are prone to do, then unless you are physically on an operating table under bright lights with a skilled surgeon, you can kiss your ass goodbye.
The AAA makes the CHF worse which also explains why he has the pitting edema in every extremity. Edema is what happens when there is a fluid leakage from the blood vessels and the bodys natural drain system (The Lymphatic system) isnt able to filter out all the excess fluid from the blood.
It causes that sloshy looking skin that if you press into, leaves an indent. When you know what you are looking for, you can spot pitting edema across the room just by the socks the person is wearing.

(12,581 posts)and got the wrong kind, a hybrid. I found out from a doctor that I should have been only using indica but I didn't know that at the time.
I ended up thinking I was having a bad reaction and possibly a heart attack. I told them about the pot and they laughed a bit and checked me out.
I was okay and they asked if I wanted to go to the hospital and after talking to them a little more, I declined.
They were getting more calls about the very thing I went through but they told me I was the only one so far that told them upfront about the pot. They appreciated that I told them, it made their job easier.

(8,249 posts)"Trump will rule America for a thousand years!"
So say the Faithful, the Republican True Believers.
They have to think and say that, because they fear what happens to the cult once the leader dies.
But anyone can see that Trump, never in good physical or mental health, is on the downhill slope to complete biological shutdown.
Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow night.
It will happen.
Then watch the gigantean freakout amongst the True Believers.
