I love ❤️ this!
I wonder where the footage came from? I only recognize the brief clip of the Tharp Dance Company in the park.

I never saw the Broadway show, but I have the original cast recording from that era. The performances that stick in my mind are from the (1979) movie.

Especially this song, Aquarius, and that incredible performance by Cheryl Barns.

It has been called a fluffy, fun and irreverent look at the 60's counter culture. But it has an incredibly powerful message.

The primary love story isn't revealed until the last ten minutes of the film, and it has nothing to do with sex.

I've never met anyone who actually "gets" the end of the film.

Original soundtrack from the plays. I like the British one best. I think some of the footage was taken outside of Woodstock.

I screen the movie about once a year. Sometimes for friends, sometimes just for myself.

But do you get the end of the film? Watch it again. 😊

Place in the military ( it was the draft then, your number was called in the lottery you went or conscientious objector statis which was rather hard to get - Mohammed Ali ended up doing prison time for it)they were immediately deployed. Savage gets there and realizes what happened and tries to stop them but too late. Treat doubles down saying that God believes in Claude and that's me in the Manchester England , England song. He was then killed inaction sacrificing himself for his friend. So they all gather at his grave at Arlington while there is a Peace rally at the White House and the song Let the Sunshine In ends it.

I watch it whenever I can get it on demand and I'm in the mood.

The footage isn't from woodstock. It might have been outtakes or a special project by the dance troupe from the film.

Im pretty sure it's not AI. 🤔

At the time. She wrote the song Woodstock that the guys ended up doing there. She was stuck in Chicago while they went ahead to Woodstock.

Stories of those days in Laural Canyon have become legendary. I think someone is currently writing their Masters thesis on the history. 😄

I was living just NE of San Fernando, and too young to be hip. But oh... to be a fly on the wall. 🙂
