I always think of Scott Fitzgerald’s short story “A Piece of Steak” when I hear it. Does anyone know the history of what inspired this beautiful work?

Don't remember the title, but it's Come to Look for America, just so damn poignant. Bridge Over Toubled Water is sublime as well.
