What is up with the Pringles flying mustaches

to the tune of the old Batman TV series theme song? First the mustaches fly, then the people fly. I can't make any sense of it. What does that have to do with eating Pringles?

And what about the guy who hugs the bear and then just falls into the kitchen eating Kraft macaroni and cheese. Does eating mac and cheese make you want to hug a bear or does hugging a bear make you want to eat mac and cheese? I don't get the point.

At the risk of sounding like an old fogey, I remember when they made commercials that were funny or clever and the catchphrases became part of the pop culture. Bygone days.

The purpose of a commercial is to make you remember the product, which apparently these two commercials did.
