At least on air, the Kennedy Center’s name remained unchanged for its biggest night of the year.
The first president to host the Kennedy Center Honors, President Donald Trump had joked about the “Trump Kennedy Center” onstage. His board voted for the name change last week. But Tuesday’s CBS broadcast of the Honors, recorded Dec. 7, premiered with the cultural institution’s long-standing title.
