After being fired from an AutoZone in South Georgia, a woman is suing its parent company AutoZoners, LLC for unlawful discrimination based on her race.
The suit was filed by the womans attorney, Ian E. Smith, on Tuesday in the United States District Court in Atlanta. The woman claims that her rights under the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1991 were violated.
According to the suit, the woman who is African American says she was fired after an incident where a white male customer shouted racist language and curse words at her. The woman, employed as a driver and sales associate for the company for a little less than a year, claims that the district manager told her to ignore the racist language and to suck it up.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is not identifying the woman because she claims she was a victim of racism.

I am white but one car wash I went to,the old man came out yelling that he did not know what I did to cause the machine to not work. I did nothing, machines do mal function.I spoke to the manager the next time I went in. He kind of laughed it off, like that is the way he is.
The second time he came out yelling at me again. My credit card did not come out. He did it the third time. I go to car washes all over the area with no trouble at all, even those with tracks.
This car wash is close but I will drive further to have it done. I waited until I cooled down for a couple of weeks, then went on their site, gave details and my age. It went to the BBB and I was thanked, they published it in comments.
You have to fight back from any discrimination. In my case I was a paying customer
