SPOTLIGHT RACE: Adam Cleveland for GA-HD48
He and his wife, Katy, made their way back from Athens and the University of Georgia all the way to Johns Creek because they believed in the promise of this community for their two daughters. Tired of cowardly politicians and determined to preserve that promise, Adam is running for office because he is ready to put his experience as a small-business owner, attorney, and author of laws to work - lowering costs, expanding access to health care, and defending Georgians from government overreach.
Adam has already done the work of a legislator. From 2015 through 2020 he co-wrote, testified before the General Assembly to support, and ultimately shepherded the passage of three bills to ensure meaningful judgment enforcement in Georgia. His attention to diverse needs and opposing views led to the 2020 bill passing with unanimous approval in both chambers of a General Assembly so divided they could not agree who had won the presidency that year. In 2025, Adam again appeared at the Capitol to testify against, and defeat, a bill that would have rendered money judgments largely ineffective. Adam takes representation of his business peers and community seriously, having served on the Board of the National Creditors Bar Association, as Chairperson for his Georgia Bar Section, and on his neighborhood HOA Board.
Adam, like his family for generations, is a proud Georgian and a member of The Temple in Buckhead. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and ultimate frisbee, watching UGA football, and serving as an unpaid Uber driver to his daughters on a daily basis.
