RUN FOR SOMETHING: Daniel Armando Jones for Prince George's County Council, District 2

Daniel understands a new time is coming for the county—one in which safety, affordability, access to quality county services, and smart community planning for projects such as the Langley Park library and Purple Line will define the future of District 2 neighborhoods. He’s ready to bring people together to navigate these changes with a new vision and an emphasis on partnership and action.

Daniel’s passion for public service has guided his career. As a former congressional staffer, he advised two distinguished members of the U.S. House of Representatives on a variety of critical public policy issues—from health care and the environment to infrastructure and federal spending. Now, as an advocate for access to federal and state health care services, he has championed policies to strengthen Medicaid, Medicare, and other programs for working families, seniors, and others who face economic and social challenges.

Daniel is deeply committed to his community. He served on the Prince George’s County Police Accountability Board, promoting transparency, safety, and trust between residents and law enforcement. As Executive Director of the Young Latinos Leadership Council, a faith-based nonprofit that builds community through sports, leadership development, and civic engagement, he continues his mission to empower young people and uplift the next generation of leaders.
