McGowan, Quatrone win in Rutherford
ncumbent Stephanie McGowan and Susan Quatrone, a former aide to Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-Paterson), have won the Democratic nomination for borough council in Rutherford, beating Jarrod Schaeffer, a former federal prosecutor.
McGowan leads with 1,204 votes, followed by Quatrone with 834 votes. Schaeffer finished third with 771 votes.
Schaeffer and McGowan had the backing of the local Democratic organization.
Matthew Cokely did not seek re-election to the seat he first won in 2020
