Luxury motor and yacht club planned for former industrial site on Salmon Bay
A former industrial fuel terminal on Seattle's Salmon Bay waterfront is poised for a transformation.
Chicago-based Cantera Development Group is advancing plans for Terminal One Motor + Yacht Club, a luxury automotive and marine-focused destination that will blend collector garages, waterfront amenities and private yacht facilities.
Cantera will redevelop nearly 10 acres of the former Time Oil Co. property at 2737-2805 W. Commodore Way into a gathering spot for automobile collectors, boating enthusiasts and other owners of high-value assets. Located near the Ballard Locks along one of Seattle's most supply-constrained maritime corridors, the development combines commercial condominium ownership with marine services, dry boat storage and hospitality-oriented programming.
A permit application currently under review by the city calls for a two-story marine sales and service building with dry boat storage and office space. Plans also include a new bulkhead, boardwalk and dock system, replacement of aging marine infrastructure and approximately 75 parking stalls. The construction cost for this phase is estimated at roughly $4 million, according to city records.
