American Airlines Flight Attendants to Hold Protest Following Vote of No Confidence in CEO Robert Isom

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Flight Attendants are calling for accountability and leadership change following APFA’s unanimous vote of no confidence in American Airlines CEO Robert Isom. They will hold a protest on Thursday, February 12, 2026, to demand that their message is heard and demonstrate their need for change. APFA, the Union representing more than 28,000 American Airlines Flight Attendants, says management failures have contributed to declining operational and financial performance, lagging rankings, and worsening working conditions for front-line Workers.

American Airlines Flight Attendants will be joined by Union Leadership, Labor Allies, friends and other supporters in a protest following their first-ever vote of no confidence in a sitting American Airlines CEO.

Why: In a historic first, APFA’s Board of Directors issued a unanimous vote of no confidence in CEO Robert Isom this week, citing a “relentless downward spiral” in the airline’s performance.

Flight Attendants are demanding:

Accountability from executive leadership.
Improved operational support for front-line Workers.
A credible turnaround strategy to restore performance and rebuild customer trust.

Union Leadership says ongoing operational disruptions, declining industry rankings and management decisions have left Workers and passengers paying the price, while executive compensation has remained high.
