"This Will Completely Destroy Us" Thousands Protest Jared Kushner's $1.6B Resort in Albania - DRM News

Thousands of protesters gathered in Albania's capital Tirana to oppose a controversial $1.6 billion luxury resort linked to Jared Kushner's investment firm. Environmental groups warn the development could damage protected wetlands, flamingo habitats, and pristine Adriatic coastline. The project has sparked clashes, political debate, and growing resistance from conservationists and local residents. - 06/03/2026.

Say about 10,000 hotel rooms for some 30,000 people would easily REQUIRE the essential infrastructure of a city similar to Las Vegas.

Think electricity, water, sewage, transportation, airports, ground services, hotel services in addition to an enormous supply chain with associated service folks.

And exactly what are those people going to do all day and all night on such a small island area.

Just Does Not Seem Feasible.

His daughter might be the face of the project, but that's only because they think she has a likeability factor. We come to find out that she doesn't.

This newsy is from Aljazeera News, so those of you who would rather not partake, then do not click the linked article; however, I found this piece interesting, relevant, current, and free from political posturing.

Kushner Island? Why a planned resort has provoked protests in Albania. The government hopes the high-profile project can position Albania as a major global tourism destination – but environmental concerns are rife.
