In this video I talk about the ongoing supply chain crisis for both USA businesses and consumers caused by the new Import Tariffs. Supply Chains often take years to establish and over 50% of all of US imports from China are parts and components required by US businesses for their production processes. The tariffs were announced without any prior warning and implemented within a very short space of time meaning that US businesses simply have not had time to adjust their supply chains or purchasing. China is the biggest since source of imports for US businesses and total imports in 2024 cost over $440 Billion, US businesses are now facing a tariff of 145% on these imports and this is resulting in orders not being shipped or being cancelled and this is causing huge disruption for US businesses. As a result US consumers are now facing the prospect of both higher prices and product shortages.
