"The Expanse" is my new obsession

The first few episodes were a bit slow, but once I got halfway through the first season -- oh my god, I got addicted. It's SF in the not-too-distant future, when we've colonized Mars (but not beyond) and there are also people living on stations and asteroids between Earth and Mars ("Belters&quot . There are also still Mormons, out to proselytize to the universe. Of course, mankind just cannot stay peaceful. They have to start wars with each other. And now there's a new organism that's just arrived from beyond the solar system...

The acting is superb.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've found that series that start slowly cause me to give up on them quickly so maybe I'll stick with it.

2. Expanse is SO GOOD!

I'm a syfy fan. This is the best syfy on TV since Firefly and Battlestar Galactica. Better even. Thats saying a lot

The writing, the story, the production values, the acting are all superb.

Shohreh Aghdashloo is a GEM!

Well worth the binge.

Mr. Sedona is in the motion picture business and says they spent a fortune on the sets and effects. It looks it.

I'd consider watching it all again before next season comes out.

3. That's my husband's favorite show, he's starting all over

back at the first season now to rewatch it all. He's always trying to get me into it, and I just don't care for sci fi stuff, but I agree the acting is good.

4. I like The Expanse

A LOT. Spousal unit finds it a bit intense. I'll probably get back to it when I finish "Grey's Anatomy". I find the character of Chrisjen extremely fascinating...an older woman who is so central to the plot.

Only six episodes and is reputed to be the last season on Amazon...there are more novels however and either Amazon will change their mind or someone else will pick it up...it's just too good....
