Related: About this forumThe good news is...... The nightmare medication has finally started working.
My dreams are certainly not pleasant but the do lack those terrifying scenarios of my nightmares.
I had a rough therapy session on Monday. That was mainly due to all of the horrific events of the weekend. I was non functional for most of the day. That's a real inconvenience because I'm preparing to have 10 people over for dinner on the 24th. I am the last in the family who makes the traditional Christmas Eve pea/mushroom/potato/onion soup. I'm teaching others how to make the roux, which is the MOST important flavor component to the soup. It's been a Christmas Eve tradition for well over 100 years.
Fingers crossed I get through the evening without an anxiety attack. If I DO have one, I'll just slip away to the bedroom. Loud voices/laughter are a big trigger for me, but that's what happens at my family events. There discussions can get pretty animated, in a fun way. I refuse to damped the spirit because everyone has so much fun.
