Tomato feta cheese soup.
Cheese toasts on artisan rolls using garlic basil tomato cheese. Maybe tuna salad with shrimp and egg added.
Kombucha: apple cider-cherry flavor.
Dessert: Rice pudding with banana slices and hot Earl Grey tea.

(24,678 posts)I'm feeling a touch of the flu so the Landlady made homemade chicken soup. You know, Jewish penicillin!
We'll also have a small salad and Chunky Monkey ice cream for dessert.

Regular ole burger with Vermont cheddar on a brioche bun
.lettuce & tomatoes
Side of honeyed carrots with sage
Side of cottage cheese with black olives
Lemon water
Dessert- Later maybe a piece of homemade orange/cranberry bread with an orange glaze and some old fashioned hot cocoa

Popcorn later if we don't lose power. We're getting pounded with rain, and high winds. Under a tornado watch in late December, crazy weather. Temperatures near 70, but tomorrow high will be low 20s.

(1,738 posts)This version has chopped onion, red bell pepper, sliced carrots, cut asparagus, sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. After the veggies were steam-fried I stirred in 3/4 of a block of drained and mashed firm tofu and Jax tofu seasoning. After plating I topped the dish with crumbled seitan bacon and fresh chopped parsley. Cheers!🥂
