Quite the wonderful wake up, this morning
I was sleeping on my right side and dreaming away. The dream included the man who irreparably shattered my heart (I haven't seen him for many years) AND the company from which I joyfully retired 3 years ahead of my original plan, in order to save my sanity. I was attending a 'mandatory meeting' that was late in starting. So, not a good dream. And in this dream my right shoulder was aching.
When I woke up, sure enough, my shoulder was a bit achy. Then I realized that Carys was curled up behind my knees and stretched out on my leg, Sian was snuggled up, tight against my back. Arthur and Madoc were doing a great impression of a sleeping Sphynx, right at the food of the bed. Gryff was, as usual, sleeping somewhere else.
I held off moving for as long as I could because, well, Carys was so comfortable and she so rarely sleeps ON me. When I finally did shift, she came up for some scritches and then went back into reclusive mode. Well, until breakfast time.
Kind of helps mitigate that bad dream.
