Related: About this forumAnyone use pine pellets for cat litter? I have a cat that started peeing on his foot or he's stepping in it and
since it's clumping littler he ends up with a clump all up and down his foot. I have get the wash tub out and soak his foot to clean it. I'm thinking no clumping pellets might help that.
Thanks

(18,308 posts)my cats decided to pee on ANYTHING on the floor including the mat in front of the litter box. I got a sifting litter box and put it on the litter box and the pellets on top. I scoop the poop then tilt the sifting tray and stir the pellets. The pine pellets turn to saw dust which falls through the sifting tray. Then I dump the box. Somewhat of a pain but it doesnt track at all and theres never a urine smell. You can get a 40lb bag of Dr Pols on line from Wal-Mart. I like it best because the pellets are larger and dont fall through the sifting tray.

(24,269 posts)on TV for a clumping litter that doesn't stick to the box, making scooping easier. Maybe that would help. Sorry to not have paid attention to the name! What size is kitty's box? I only use humongous ultra jumbo ones with hoods and they're deep.....

(67,038 posts)I do not think this would stick to your cat's foot.
Been using it for years.

(5,415 posts)had major revolution from ALL my cats. None of them liked it. So... that was one failed experiment for me; we went back to Tidy Cats clumping.

(3,879 posts)If they ingest it, it can swell up in their intestines and cause a blockage. I use Fresh News paper litter. Its safe and does not smell.
