in the garden of eden
when we lived in the garden of eden innocence prevailed
knowledge of good and evil was not needed all unaware
love that heeded no pardon a life with everything availed
the actions of a god medieval creating love’s atmosphere
and one day sin was discovered and suddenly came a fall
each action was natural human and each step was ecstasy
yet we were appearing uncovered as breath began to stall
while exposing a god’s illusion and the paradise’s fantasy
we were hiding in shame naked though unsure of the sin
what was done seemed natural and to be done once more
as if why we had been created and as to why life did begin
right and wrong decided unilateral as now stranded ashore
caste out of eden so unjustly to a land of sorrow and pain
made to procreate as thusly as that which made us shame
