(9,222 posts)It's been about 10 days since I saw my last hummingbird. The locals left around Labor Day, but stragglers from the north kept on coming for a couple more weeks.
I'll leave the feeder up a while longer just in case. Besides, taking it down for the year is just one more acknowledgement that cold times are on their way.

Used to see about 15-20 a day all summer long at my feeder. Then - nothing. Until this past Sunday. But only ONE.
