1. Bad timing for us!

We’ve had an abundance of winter visitors at our feeders for weeks, including a near-daily sharp-shinned hawk. But the weather has taken a decided turn to warmer temperatures, and the birds are now infrequent visitors. My count numbers will be down by more than 80%.

2. Yes. The count varies.

I count what I get. The warm spell has reduced some birds and so has an interested cat from the neighborhood. Last year, 60 mph winds reduced the count!
