months ago. We really enjoyed it but have nothing to compare it with.

(7 posts)My husband and I have done two National Geographic Linblad Expeditions one to Baja to see the grey whales, and one around Malta and Sicily on a tall sailing ship. Both were excellent!! I loved everything about both trips the itineraries, the expedition leaders and staff, the other staff on each vessel everything. I am looking forward to my next NatGeo trip to the Galapagos. I havent take a Road Scholar trip so I dont have a basis to compare, but I would certainly recommend National Geographic!

(1,168 posts)What was the average age of the passengers? We are 58 & 60 & were the youngest on the Roads Scholar trip. The trip was great and it had the itinerary I wanted - The Hidden Coasts of Scotland. Also, liked there were no kids on the ship.

(7 posts)I would say the age range was from thirties to eighties, more passengers probably in the retiree category but not all. No children on either trip, though there were parents with adult children on both. The Malta/Siciily trip we took was on Sea Cloud 2, which is an AMAZING ship. So comfortable and just a fantastic experience. I think NatGeo offers two itineraries on Sea Cloud 2 in the Mediterranean. Baja was amazing too smaller ship and not a sailing vessel. I have become a Nat Geo loyalist! I very much want to go to Scotland part of my heritage and Ive never been!

(422 posts)trips. Two with my wife to the San Jaun Islands off Washington state and to southern Africa, and one with my sister to Peru/Machu Picchu. They were all outstanding and had wonderful guides and participants. Their price point is lower than National Geographic's if I recall correctly.
