Dating advice for singles

I am a single lady and trying to get back into the dating world again, any advice or suggestions. I am just curious about how to navigate through the bullshit and games.

My bullshit meter is going off big time. What is up with guys wanting to use Google hangouts or Kik. I don't know anything about them. I briefly looked them up but I am unsure about adding more apps to my phone. And I keep getting military personnel chatting with me on Instagram. I didn't think that was a place for that. It's confusing and exciting at the same time. I guess we'll see what happens.
