Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., revealed new details about his meeting this week with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, including that he had been traumatized by his imprisonment in El Salvador. Van Hollen met with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador and held a news conference at Washington Dulles International Airport upon his return.
He told reporters that he met with Abrego Garcia for more than 30 minutes and informed him of the national attention on his case, which the senator said Abrego Garcia was unaware of. His conversation with me was the first communication hed had with anybody outside of prison since he was abducted, Van Hollen said. He said he felt very sad about being in a prison because he had not committed any crimes. - Aired on 04/18/2025.

He files a lawsuit against the trump admin, and wins bigly. If he makes it out alive.

And whatever happened to the makeup artist who was deported without due process as well??

(24,815 posts)4. I haven't seen a report on any of these disappeared men,
Except for Garcia--the publicity and outcry may be why he's still alive.

And the courts ruled that all who were deported need to be brought back to face due process.

(7,198 posts)6. Of course this has been traumatic. His son has also been traumatized. His son was in the car when they abducted his dad
I don't want to hear anyone complain about any care this child may need - If his mom applies for medicaid - I don't want to hear a peep from any RWer.

And if the Mom needs to be home with the kids, how are they surviving? They're sure to need help.
