The U.S. is in a seriously poor situation (set in place directly by djt). There are just too many nearby easy targets for Iran to pursue that might not even involve U.S. assets or personnel.

Perhaps a form of full surrender might be necessary by the U.S. at this point in an effort to prevent further unnecessary losses on both sides.

Even in the past 24 hours, he's gone back to his original threats, saying the U.S. would bomb Iran out of existence, which appears to be his reaction to any action on Iran's part.

He cannot bomb them out of existence...he cannot nuke them...and he cannot overwhelm them in a ground war...he simply cannot win any war in Iran.

Perhaps move all equipment and troops out of the entire region and then allow the Iranians to handle the area as they had been doing before we interfered. In this way, he need not surrender, just leave completely...

Obviously it would have been better if he hadn't been convinced to participate to begin with - especially since there are American families in mourning - but getting out immediately is absolutely the best option now. If only he had the sense to do so, that is...

Trump's U-Turn on Iran Sanctions Would Unravel Decades of Curbs
(Bloomberg)

The Trump administration's effort to unwind decades of sanctions as part of a deal to end the war with Iran has created a head-spinning situation for governments, banks and other companies as they contemplate a shifting patchwork of new permissions and old restrictions.
