US launches new airstrikes on Iran and Tehran fires back at Gulf Arab states - Associated Press



The United States launched new airstrikes against Iran early Thursday, and Tehran responded by targeting Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar in crossfire that again threatened an interim deal intended to help end the war. - 07/09/2026.

So after new U.S. airstrikes against alleged enemy targets, these non-combatant countries can expect retaliatory military strikes from Iran:

Abu Dhabi - Bahrain - Dubai - Oman - Gulf of Oman shipping

Saudi Arabia - Kuwait - Qatar - The UAE - Persian Gulf shipping

We've been there and should know better. I think of the Middle East as a powder keg waiting to explode. I'm old enough enough to remember the Iran hostage crisis and Ronald Reagan made an underhanded bargain with them and never suffered any consequences, either.
