Related: About this forum"They've called me the most dangerous candidate" Abdul El-Sayed on his Senate run in Michigan - The 11th Hour - MS NOW
If Democrats have any hope of winning control of the Senate this November, virtually every path involves holding seats they currently control. Their most vulnerable state is Michigan, where Abdul El-Sayed is in a tight primary race against Rep. Haley Stevens. - Aired on 07/08/2026.

I was impressed with him, too. So I looked up his primary opponent and wasn't favorably impressed either

on all that our current head of HHS ignores/denies (eyeroll). He'd be a great counter as an actual experienced physician with public health work in Detroit. His constant reference to AIPAC will annoy some--even here--but I think he knows they have put a target on his back--so who can blame him for calling them out as well?
His female opponent seems to be well liked, but the appearances I've seen are not convincing. That is my own instinct and not a fully formed opinion..
Still, should be an interesting primary election.

Granted, I'm not yet all that familiar with either of them, so it's good that I won't have the chance to vote since I'm in New York.
