The Reason $ freaked out so wildly is that the questions clearly were getting at the truth!! As is the attempt at turning it around to say "but so are you!" For people who overindulge with a substance, the first thing they need to establish is there never is any indication that their behavior interferes with results. For a while, that is possible to do. Once control is lost, all is over. $'s denial is classic. Asking him to take the test is great and I hope the test results are made public!
