Related: About this forumTrump J6 Slush Fund Overrun By Racists, Criminals and....Black People? - Reese Waters
May 23, 2026
Congress just greenlit a $1.8 Billion "Anti-Weaponization" fund, and lets be real: they intended it as a taxpayer-funded "thank you" for the January 6th crowd. Trump and JD Vance are framing this as "just compensation" for people they claim were "mistreated by the government."
President Donald Trump's administration has created a nearly $1.8 billion fund to pay people who say they were victims of government "weaponization," raising questions about whom among his allies and supporters including those who rioted at the Capitol on Jan. 6 might get payouts from taxpayers, as well as what kind of influence Trump will wield over the fund.
The Justice Department's $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund," a nod to the country's founding year, is part of a settlement with Trump to end a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service over the leaking of his tax returns, which occurred during his own presidency.
But theres a massive flaw in their grift. By defining "government mistreatment" as the legal trigger for a payout, they just accidentally handed us the keys to the vault. If Congress is ready to cut checks for J6ers who think they had a bad day, they better get ready for the millions of Black Americans with a century's worth of federal receipts.

(607 posts)1. THE FLAW IN THIS ARGUMENT
There will be a 5 person panel (answerable only to Trump) who will decide who the payouts go to. So even if the slush fund happens (which is appearing more unlikely unless one of Trump's billionaire buddies ponies up) I don't think that anyone of the black persuasion will be approved.

(42,472 posts)2. Have we all forgotten that Chump was still President when J6 happened?
Why isn't HE being held responsible for the damage that HE did?
I haven't heard any justification as to why the taxpayers are required to pay this money, since the taxpayers were never at fault. It was an illegal attempted coup that was planned and encouraged by Chump because he believed it would keep him in the White House after January 20th.
He's responsible for ALL OF IT! We are not.....
