Europe and Canada TURN On USA - 89% Reject America, Trust HALVED, Alliance OVER - House of El [View all]

Europe is no longer quietly questioning America’s reliability. A new fifteen-country ECFR survey shows that only 11% of Europeans now view the United States as an ally , and on the same day, Trump signalled he may tear up the trade deal with Canada and Mexico.

🌍 Only 11% of Europeans now see the United States as an ally that shares their interests and values.
📉 In eighteen months, European trust in America as an ally has been cut in half.
🛡️ In every country surveyed, a majority said they do not believe the US would come to their aid if attacked.
🇪🇺 Europeans increasingly describe America as a necessary partner, rival, or adversary — not a trusted ally.
🇨🇦 Trump’s threat to abandon CUSMA is accelerating Canada’s pivot toward Europe.
⚙️ Defence, cloud, payments, satellites, trade, and industrial policy are all moving in the same direction: reduced dependence on Washington.
📊 The prediction: this survey will be remembered as the data point that marked the formal end of the transatlantic era.
