Three Years Waiting...PET Negative [View all]

Hello:

I just had a PET scan and it was negative.

I am currently taking Monjuvi and Revlimid.

This is my first 'clean' PET Scan for three years.
I have tried multiple treatments and all to varying degrees failed to achieve 100% optimum results.

In the fall of 2019, I had R-CHOP.
In the first of 2020, I had radiation.
In the fall of 2020, I had Polivy, Bendeka, and Ritixumab.
In the first of 2021, I had CAR-T.
In the fall of 2021, I began Monjuvi and Revlimid.

In January 2021, I was given 2 options.
CAR-T or Monjuvi and Revlimid.
My condition had deteriorated that I needed the use of the walker.
I asked my oncologist at the time to get approval from my insurer for both.
I contacted my insurer and they never got any paperwork for Monjuvi and Revlimid in early 2021
My oncologist felt that CAR-T was the best option.
He was wrong.
Also, in early 2022, his nurse practitioner said I would never achieve any kind of remission with Monjuvi and Revlimid.
She was wrong.
After three months of Monjuvi and Revlimid, I no longer needed the walker.
About 6 months ago, I switched oncologists because I no longer trusted my oncologist's judgment.

I am grateful that my PET scan was negative but I am considering suing.
Not sure I can sue someone for being wrong or not filing paperwork.

Thanks,
