Dug looks like the sweetest of woozles. We had our own border collie who lived to almost 18, but the day he couldn't get up on his four legs, and fell trying to jump up on the low couch, we knew it was time, as his cries were almost constant. I couldn't bear the thought of him in pain like that, so we took the trip to the vet's. I don't think hubby or I have ever gotten over it. The only comfort we could find is that he was no longer in pain. It's a hard decision to make; my greatest hope is you have more months of quality time with him. May he be blessed with painless, or nearly painless days... he already won the race - he found you.
