(30,356 posts)they have carte blanche to do it and then they play victim. basically they refuse to acknowledge that any other belief system is not only reasonable, but it's allowed under our system of government.
i was kidding by the way. i'm not going out and proselytizing for atheism or any other metaphysical beliefs. mine are mine, yours are yours. we're ALLOWED to hold the beliefs that we do and should not be vilified, accosted, preached at, "prayed for" or any other thing. it's rude. it's disrespectful, and it pisses me off.
with my friend i offered a shoe on other foot scenario. she agreed that it was disrespectful. the post in question was from her mother, a friend since childhood, and complained that she was mocked for believing in jeezus and would never apologize blah blah blah. the daughter said i don't think writing about jeezus is proselytizing. i never said it was, even though i think it is.
isn't there something in the bible about doing that? aren't they not supposed to?
