Or so I thought but being the son of Gloria Vanderbilt was less lucrative than I thought.

Although I'm sure Anderson has done okay and would easily find a new gig if need be..

Anderson Cooper inherited $1.5 million from his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, following her death in 2019.

Michael B. Cohen & Associates

While initial speculation suggested Vanderbilt's estate was worth upward of $200 million, court filings revealed the actual value was closer to $1.5 million, which was left almost entirely to Cooper.

Los Angeles Times

Cooper—who has built his own successful career and fortune—has publicly stated that he believes inheriting massive sums is a "curse" and an "initiative sucker". He even applies this philosophy to his own children, noting on Page Six that he does not plan to leave a large trust fund for his son.
